JustConnections is a UK-based advertising and service-matching platform. We connect customers with independent local professionals. We do not provide the services ourselves.

2. What Personal Data We Collect
A) If you submit a customer enquiry, we may collect:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Email address (optional where applicable)
- Town or postcode
- Service required / trade selected
- Job details you submit
B) If you are a professional applying to receive enquiries, we may collect:
- Business / trading name (optional where applicable)
- Contact name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Trade / services offered
- Areas covered / service locations
- Short description of services
- Supporting documents where requested (e.g., evidence of public liability insurance)
C) Technical / usage data: IP address, device/browser information, pages viewed, cookie-related identifiers, and marketing-attribution codes (for example, a referral code or campaign tag from a link or QR code you used to reach us).
D) Communications & transaction data: records of messages we send or receive in connection with an enquiry (e.g. confirmation emails or texts) and, for professionals, payment-related data. Card payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not collect or store your full card details.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Forward your enquiry to one suitable independent professional so they can respond directly
- Allow professionals to contact you regarding your request
- Send you service communications about your enquiry by email and SMS/text (via our email and SMS providers)
- Take payment for credits from professionals (via our payment processor) and keep transaction records
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and service, including measuring which marketing channels enquiries came from
- Maintain business records and prevent misuse/spam
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Lawful Basis for Processing

5. Who We Share Your Data With
Independent professionals: If you submit a customer enquiry, your details will be shared with one suitable independent professional for the purpose of responding and/or providing a quote. Our lawful basis for this sharing is contractual necessity (fulfilling your request to be matched) and our legitimate interest in operating the matching service.
Service providers (data processors): We share limited data with the third-party providers that operate our service, including: Vercel (website/app hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), Twilio (SMS), Stripe (card payments), and Cloudflare (security/anti-bot). These providers process data on our instructions under appropriate agreements.
International transfers: some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU adequacy or standard contractual clauses) to protect your data.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. As a guide:
- Customer enquiries: up to 24 months after the enquiry, then deleted or anonymised.
- Professional accounts: for as long as the account is active, and up to 24 months after it closes.
- Financial/transaction records: retained for 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements.
- Dispute / complaint records: kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and a reasonable period afterwards.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see Section 7); we will do so unless we are required to keep it (e.g. for legal or accounting reasons).
7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)
Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to: request access to your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; restrict processing; object to processing; request data portability; lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
